Originally a game akin to rummy, you're looking for specific hands like in cards. The object is to be the first to make a hand depicted on a card published by the National Mah Jongg League, Inc.
All newcomers welcome and training is regularly available. We often have newcomers play together with the trainer until they feel comfortable on their own.
With Mah Jongg, you can always "fake it until you make it" because no one knows if you make a mistake. While you may not win, you'll have fun doing it. As a side bonus, playing mahjong has been found effective in improving short-term memory, attention and logical thinking.
Join us. You'll love it!
