The Colony Garden Tour

The Colony Petal Pushers Garden Club held the first annual Colony Garden Tour in May 2022 and over 150 Colony residents participated in the Garden Tour.  We greatly appreciated the 16 homeowners who opened up their yards and those Petal Pusher members who worked hard to make this event happen.

One common theme throughout the gardens was having outdoor space devoted to entertaining or just relaxing in nature.  Many featured outdoor rooms with seating arranged for conversation around a fire pit, table or bar.  There were interesting walkways of brick, tiles, decorative cement, etc. with thriving plants along the sides.  Water fountains added to the outdoor ambience and each garden was speckled with garden art reflecting the homeowner’s personality and interests.

This year the Garden Tour will be on April 22, 2023 to celebrate Earth Day.  You won't want to miss it!

Organics Recycling

SB1383 is the law requiring Californians to separate collected food scraps, yard debris and food-soiled paper from trash for organics recycling. This starts on April 1, 2023 and your green bin will become your "Organics" bin.

To learn more about it, view the video of  the presentation given January 24th.
